There are a number of parental control programs that limit what your child can view on the internet (but no program will substitute for parental vigilance and wise practices like: limiting the number of internet portals (computers and smart phones) available to your children, keeping the family computer in a public location (not in junior's bedroom), requiring a password (known to parents but not to children) to access the family computer, and requiring that children provide to parents their passwords for e-mail accounts (or have a joint family e-mail account) and social networking sites (FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.).
